He then met and married the love of his life Dorothy. They settled in Fords, NJ and raised a family.
Michael worked for the EPA in Edison, NJ as a Microbiologist. He moved to Berkeley Twsp. 18 years ago.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy, his daughter Patty and her husband Bob, his son Stephen and his wife Sheila. His grandchildren Josh (Kim), Jesse (Monica), Megan (Steve) and (Nick) Meredith. Also surviving are his 2 great grandchildren Michael and Nari. Mike love to golf, fish, crab and was also known for telling great stories. He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
Visiting will be Wednesday 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home 2482 Church Rd., Toms River. Funeral services will be Thursday 11:00am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Byzantine Catholic Church 1937 Church Road, Toms River, NJ 08753 Building Fund in Michael's name. www.silvertonmemorial.com.
