Michael Ryan Slankard, born on September 6, 2001, in Houston, Texas, passed away on July 11, 2025, in Conroe, Texas. He was an unyieldingly fun and loving individual, well-known to his family and friends as a caring and genuine person. Throughout his life, Michael exemplified kindness and positivity, leaving a profound impact on everyone he encountered. He graduated from Hardin High School, where he developed lifelong friendships, and many cherished memories.
Michael dedicated himself to his career as a waiter at Del Frisco’s Restaurant in the Woodlands, where his warm personality resonated with both patrons and colleagues alike. He had a passion for gaming, enjoyed watching movies, and loved spending time with his friends, which brought him immense joy.
Michael is survived by his parents, Kevin and Leigh Ann Slankard; his sister, Kaleigh Williamson; his nephew, Parker Walter; his cherished grandparents, Cecil and Brenda Slankard; his uncle, Keith Slankard and aunt, Steffani Slankard; his cousins Kaylen and Kaden Slankard; and multiple other cousins. His familial bonds were strong, and his family will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mike and Martha Bush. Though they have departed from this world, the love they shared with Michael will continue to resonate in the memories of those who knew him.
The visitation for Michael will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Faith & Family Funeral Services, located at 40847 Texas 105, Batson, Texas, 77519. Following this, a funeral service will commence at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Tony Hines, concluding with interment at Guedry Cemetery, Batson, Texas.
Michael’s life was touched by many, and his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to know him.
