Michael Stephen Steadman

Michael Stephen Steadman of Hendersonville, North Carolina, born on Tuesday, August 17, 1948 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, peacefully passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, October 15, 2023, at The Hospice Solace Center in Asheville, North Carolina with his loved ones by his side. He was 75 years old at the time of his departure. He was the son of the late Leon and Dorothy Calloway Steadman.
A man of his word, Michael was known for his unwavering integrity and strong moral compass. Throughout his life, he embraced the values of honesty, kindness, and compassion. He believed in the power of a genuine smile and a helping hand, always ready to lend his support to those in need.
Michael's professional journey led him to retirement, where he had the opportunity to fully indulge in his passions. He had an immense love for dogs, finding solace and companionship in their loyal presence. Music was another source of joy for him, and he cherished the moments spent listening to his favorite tunes.
Above all, Michael valued quality time with his loved ones. Whether it was gathering around a table filled with laughter and good food or simply enjoying a heartfelt conversation, he treasured every moment shared with his family and friends. His warm and genuine nature brought people together, and he had a remarkable ability to uplift spirits with his infectious sense of humor.
Michael will be deeply missed by his husband, George M. Brown, who stood by his side in both the lively and challenging times. He is also survived by his sister, Brenda Staselatage; and his nieces, Wilenda, Dawn, and Ginger; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. Additionally, special friends Bob and Sue, and David and John held a special place in his heart, alongside the countless other friends he encountered along his journey.
In honor of Michael's life, his family will hold a private celebration to commemorate the beautiful memories they shared. As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, let us remember his unwavering spirit, his infectious laughter, and his ability to bring joy to those around him.
