Michael "Pop" Stella

STELLA, MICHAEL "POP", 93, of Brigantine departed this life on Sunday November 28, 2021, surrounded by his family. Mike was born in Philadelphia PA where he attended Northeast Catholic High School prior to accomplishing a successful career as a business owner of Stella's Dry Cleaners and Doreen Cleaners both located in Kennsington. Upon retirement he relocated to Brigantine where he conquered yet another successful career as a jitney driver. Pop mostly enjoyed time spent with his loved ones at family gatherings, breakfast and lunch at Pirate's Den, his favorite place on the island, and walking along the Sea Wall where he has his own bench expressing his "thanks for the memories," he so well enjoyed in Brigantine. He took great pride in caring for his family and was the world's best provider! Mike is predeceased by his wife Dolores "Memom" Stella, and his mother and father Albert & Mary Stella. He is survived by his children Michael & Karen, Robert, Maryellen & Mark, Albert "his favorite" and Lisa. Also left with broken hearts are his seven wonderful grandchildren Robert (Colleen), Danielle (Eric), Donald, Noelle (Dave), Albert, Michael and Michael. and eight precious great grandchildren, his sisters Yolonda, Barbara, his brother Anthony, and many nieces and nephews. Through their eyes Pop's legacy will continue for generations to come. Family & friends are welcome to celebrate Mike's life on Friday, December 3, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:50a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 331 8Th Street South, Brigantine followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
