Michael J. Strunk

Michael J. Strunk, 72, of Scottsdale, AZ passed away peacefully with his family by his side on August 28, 2022. He was born in Covington, KY December 13, 1949 to the late Bernard and Stella Saalfeld Strunk. His son, Jeff, predeased him at age 16 after a battle with cancer. Mike will be remembered as a true family man and a gentle giant with a great sense of humor and infectious laugh. He loved to golf and travel with family and friends. Mike lived in Northern Kentucky most of his life. After he retired, he and his wife moved to Scottsdale, AZ to be with their daughter, Emily, her family and warmer weather. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sharon Haddix Strunk; His beloved daughter, Emily (Ryan), and cherished granddaughters, Stella and Reagan Helm. He is also survived by his brother, John Strunk (Bonnie) the Villages, FL; sisters Lynn Listes (Andy) Mooresburg, TN, and Sister Mary Ellen Strunk, Edgewood, KY. His brother Robert (Virginia) and sister and brother –in-law Anne and Fred Gruber preceded him in death. Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Middendorf Funeral Home, 3312 Madison Pk. Ft. Wright, KY 41017 from 10:00 – 11:30 am followed by a memorial service.
