Michael "Kevin" Styron joined his Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Kevin was born on September 20, 1961 in Norfolk, VA to the late Ralph Andrew Styron and Gladys K. Styron. He was predeceased by two brothers; Randy Glenn Styron, Sr. and Troy Scott Styron, Sr.

Kevin grew up in Acredale, the heart of Kempsville, and attended Rock Church Academy. He later went on to work in his father's business, R. A. Styron Heating & Cooling, for many years. After his fathers' passing, he went on to make a name for himself and started his own company in 1987, M. K. Styron Contracting. He took on many tradesmen classes and became a Class A Contractor, Certified Master in HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Gas Fitter-licensed in the State of Virginia. He has serviced his customers in the Tidewater area for over 38 years. He took great joy in his work and built his customer base on a handshake, word of mouth, and his personal touch with each customer was a natural gift that made him successful.

Kevin was never shy to share with others his love for the Lord. As a member of Bridge Church in Virginia Beach, he had served as an Usher for several years, as well as, helped with any HVAC maintenance or repairs they may have needed. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ-he truly had a servants heart and was always willing to help others whatever the need. Kevin would often give his services at a discounted rate or even free when he knew the customer was in a tight spot. He was a giver through and through to anyone in need and he loved being able to do just that-it truly made him happy.

He loved his family dearly and provided for them all the days of his life. His legacy will be carried on through his loving wife, Darlene Lynn Holloway Styron, married on October 20, 1984, together 41 years; their loving daughter, Marrissa Katelynn Styron Bradley and her husband, Daniel Robert Bradley and their son, Jensen Michael Bradley, Kevin's first grandson, now almost 4 months old; his sister, Sherry Lynn Haskell and her husband, William "Bill" Haskell; his brother Ralph Andrew Styron, Jr. and his wife Janet; his loving mother-in-law, Evelyn May Holloway; and many nieces and nephews.

If you knew Kevin well, he could always tell a good story and make you laugh. He loved his animals, often taking his dogs with him on service calls or bringing home a stray. One time he even came home with a pot belly pig named Ruby-we still have her. He finally got his wish with a dog that would play ball with not one, but two, border collies named Trixie and Daisy Mae who never stopped playing ball-they will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, October 8, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Oman Funeral Home and Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake, VA. His life will be celebrated on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Bridge Church, 3168 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. Pastor Archie Callahan will officiate. Kevin will be laid to rest in the Garden of Meditation at Princess Anne Memorial Park, 1110 North Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23454. Following the interment, family and friends are invited back to Bridge Church for a reception filled with food and laughter for a time to share stories and reflect on Kevin's life. Friends are invited to sign the online register book at www.omanfh.com.
