Sandra Styron passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 69, in Beaufort, NC. Born on January 2, 1956, Sandra's life was marked by her devotion to family and her faith.
Sandra was a long-time member of Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church in Newport, NC. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her through good times and bad. Sandra had a desire to help others and even traveled with the church on a mission trip to India when she was younger.
Sandra enjoyed cooking and baking and those lucky enough to have had her coconut cake know it is was the definition of perfection. Sandra did quite a bit of traveling with her husband when he worked as a truck driver, sharing many cross-country adventures together. She enjoyed reading a good book and cherished the time spent with her loved ones.
Sandra leaves behind a loving family, including her son Joey Styron and his spouse Meghan Herman; grandchildren Joseph, James, Jasmine (and spouse Christian Moulton), Ivy, and Phoenix; great-grandchildren Lucas and Landon. Nephew Eddie Durham (and spouse Sandi Durham), Great Niece Charlie Durham and Great Nephew Bennett Rose, as well as many other cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her dog, Missy, who brought her much comfort and companionship. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Styron; daughter Jamie Parmley; siblings Jackie, Jimmy, Pete, Tommy, Wayne, Jean and Myron and parents David and Bertha Durham.
A service to honor Sandra's life will be held at Holly Springs Free Will Baptist Church in Newport on Saturday November 1st at 11am. The family invites all who knew and loved Sandra to join them in celebrating her life.
