Michael Tanzi was a proud United States Army Veteran. He worked in the jewelry industry as a toolmaker. He enjoyed playing Bocce and was a member of the Johnston Bocce League for over 40 years. He was a member of the Santa Maria DiPrata society. A devoted and loving grandfather, he was affectionately known as "Grandpa Mike" not only to his twin grandsons, but their friends as well.
His funeral will be held Saturday, November 25, at 9 a.m. from "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home, 600 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Apostles Church, Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION Friday 4-7 p.m. at "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home.

We were friends and 25 year neighbors of Michael and his family on Sundance St until we moved away in 1998. Very fond memories of get togethers with Michael´s family and other Sundance St friends.
