Michael David Teel, 67, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at his residence in Staunton.

He was born on August 27, 1956, in Edmund, WV, to the late Pete Dallas, Jr. and Alberta Madeline Alberta Teel.

Michael was a dedicated, hardworking man who loved his family dearly. He was a master builder who worked for Virginia Frame Builders & Supply in Fishersville. He would often come home drenched in sweat from tireless days working in the construction industry. He crafted swings and playsets for his kids and grandkids which brought joy to all.

Even with his remarkable skills, he remained humble, quiet, and gentle. And despite his gruff exterior, he was a lovable curmudgeon who touched many lives with his unexpected acts of kindness. Beneath his quiet demeanor lay a formidable strength, evident in his love for hunting, fishing, and attending gun shows. One of his hobbies was tinkering with his truck, a testament to his resourcefulness. As a father, brother, and grandfather, he exemplified love, kindness, and unwavering support, leaving an inedible mark on those he leaves behind.

Michael leaves behind his daughters, Holli Ann Teel, and Jennifer Carol Mellich; his sisters, Carol Madeline Teel Davis, Peggy Joyce Teel Dickens, and Frances Ann Teel; a brother, Pete “Chuck” Dallas Teel; his grandchildren, Jordan Alexander Mellich, Tre Patton III, Xavier Cortel Banks, Imani Jade Banks; and Lori Ohlinger, with whom he shared thirty years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Ellen Teel.

Services will take place in West Virginia at a later date.
