Michael Tipton

Michael "Mike" Tipton, 69, passed away Wednesday evening, January 01, 2025, in the AMG Specialty Hospital at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, surrounded by his family.
Mike was born on July 12th, 1955, in Muncie, IN, to Carrol Winston and Margaret (Williams) Tipton. He graduated from Daleville High School in 1973 after marrying his wife, Nancy, on October 6th, 1972. He spent his career working at US Foods and Alliant Food Service in Fishers until his retirement in 2022.
Mike enjoyed many things in life, including going to the casino, hunting, fishing, being the competitive one when playing cards or Yahtzee, but most of all, just spending time with his family.
Besides his wife of 52 years, Nancy, he is survived by his father, Carrol Winston Tipton, Muncie; sister, Dolores Lipscomb (Companion-Clarke Payne), Muncie; daughters, April Mavis (Brad) Lakeland, Florida, Jody Moll (Jason), Warner Robins, Georgia and Jessica Olech (Ryan), Whitsett, North Carolina; nephew Trevor Lipscomb, and niece Diedra Lipscomb-Brown, both of Muncie; 11 grandchildren, Amanda, Martin, Kaleigh, Taylor, Jacob, Shelby, Alyssa, Sarah, Travis, Hunter and Emmalyn; 13 great-grandchildren; several great nieces and nephews, including some of the great-great nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Tipton, and son, Michael Shane Tipton.
