It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Michael Darr Tucker, Jr. who left us on Sunday, May 25, 2025. He was born on November 17, 1982, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Michael was 42 years old at the time of his passing. Michael was a kind, gentle man who enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
A funeral mass led by Fr. Dale Meade will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pineville, Louisiana on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 11am. His burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ball, Louisiana. Michael is preceded in death by his brother, Matthew James Tucker, maternal grandfather, Dr. William T. Welsh, Jr., uncle Charles Michael Welsh, aunt Janie Marie Welsh, paternal grandparents Robert D. Tucker and Iris S. Tucker, aunt Tricia Duke, uncle Robert D Tucker, Jr. Michael is survived by his wife, Nikki Nicole Swain Tucker, mother Kathryn "Susie" Nugent (Bruce), father Michael D. Tucker, sister Stephanie Alyce Chambers and niece Scarlett Nora Chambers, stepsisters Leslie M. Nugent and Hailey R. McClure (Ryan) and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
