In Loving Memory of Ben Tucker:
With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to a remarkable man, Claude Bennett Tucker Jr., fondly known as Ben, who departed from our lives on April 14, 2024, at the age of 80. Ben's passing leaves a profound void in our lives, one that echoes with the laughter, wisdom, and love he generously shared with all who knew him.
Born in Jackson, MS, Ben's life was an extraordinary tapestry woven with threads of adventure. As a "military brat," he journeyed across continents, embracing the diversity of cultures and experiences that shaped his compassionate and inquisitive spirit. Eventually, he and Susan settled down in Central Florida with his family, where they built their lives together.
Ben's thirst for knowledge led him to Florida State University, where he pursued his passion for business with unwavering determination, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. His academic achievement was not just a milestone but a testament to his relentless pursuit of excellence in all endeavors. Ben's career in real estate and his deep interest in politics provided him with opportunities to serve his community in countless ways, dedicating his time and expertise to several boards within the state of Florida, tirelessly working to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Yet, Ben's greatest legacy lies not in accolades or accomplishments, but in the profound love he shared with his cherished family. His marriage to Susan was a love story for the ages, a partnership built on trust, mutual respect, and unwavering devotion. Together, they faced life's ups and downs with strength and grace, making their home a place of love and laughter for their three sons, Shawn, Jason, and Alan.
Ben's love for his family was immeasurable. He was not just a father but a mentor, a confidant, and a steadfast source of strength, whose wisdom, kindness, and unwavering support touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may have embarked on his final journey, his spirit will forever dwell in the hearts of those he touched, a gentle reminder of the profound impact of a life well-lived and deeply loved.
While we mourn his physical absence, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us for generations to come. Rest in peace, dear Ben. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love and gratitude.
A memorial service to celebrate Ben's life will be held at Highland Memorial Gardens in Apopka, FL on June 22nd at 10:00 am. As a lover of plants and flowers, Ben would surely appreciate any unique floral arrangements or plants at the service.
