Born in Jackson, MS, Ben's life was an extraordinary tapestry woven with threads of adventure. As a "military brat," he journeyed across continents, embracing the diversity of cultures and experiences that shaped his compassionate and inquisitive spirit. Eventually, he and Susan settled down in Central Florida with his family, where they built their lives together.

Ben's thirst for knowledge led him to Florida State University, where he pursued his passion for business with unwavering determination, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. His academic achievement was not just a milestone but a testament to his relentless pursuit of excellence in all endeavors. Ben's career in real estate and his deep interest in politics provided him with opportunities to serve his community in countless ways, dedicating his time and expertise to several boards within the state of Florida, tirelessly working to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Yet, Ben's greatest legacy lies not in accolades or accomplishments, but in the profound love he shared with his cherished family. His marriage to Susan was a love story for the ages, a partnership built on trust, mutual respect, and unwavering devotion. Together, they faced life's ups and downs with strength and grace, making their home a place of love and laughter for their three sons, Shawn, Jason, and Alan.

Ben's love for his family was immeasurable. He was not just a father but a mentor, a confidant, and a steadfast source of strength, whose wisdom, kindness, and unwavering support touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. A memorial service to celebrate Ben's life will be held at Highland Memorial Gardens in Apopka, FL on June 22nd at 10:00 am. As a lover of plants and flowers, Ben would surely appreciate any unique floral arrangements or plants at the service.
