Beth,
I was so sorry to hear that your beloved husband Michael had passed away. I can only imagine how hard that was for you. The obituary is the most beautiful one I have ever read! He lived his life serving others and touched so many lives!
How wonderful to leave such a wonderful legacy. I know you and your family are so proud of the man he was.
I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. He will live on in every life he touched! He is forever your guardian Angel watching from above. May all your happy pictures and memories console and comfort you all at this time and forever.
" Those we love,
Never truly leave us,
For they live on,
In our Hearts
Blessings to you and your family. With my deepest sympathy, Lynne Testerman

Coach was no longer coaching football at MT when I came through, but I had him for class and homeroom I believe. He always pushed to get the best out of you and always had a joke at the ready. I was one of the many to be blessed with the "wing nut" designation. My condolences to the entire family, he was a good one and left a great mark on many generations at Township.

Our prayers go out to the Vertucci family for strength at this time. Mike was an outstanding guy that will live on in our thoughts forever. He will always be remembered as a great family man with a very strong Christian faith. His deep love of family, fishing and football was easy to see. You will be greatly missed! Love you Mike!
Sincerely,
Guy, Vanessa, Mellanie, Lucas & Ellen Yodock.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Vertucci family. Mike was not only a dedicated, knowledgeable, and hard-working coach, but he was an even greater person who was a joy and honor to have known. Rest in peace my friend until we meet again. Joe Wysock

Vertucci Family,
My deepest condolences for your loss.
I grew up at Manheim Township and also played football so I had the good fortune of crossing paths with Coach V from elementary school through high school. He led our elementary/middle school yearly football skill camps, was my gym teacher freshman year, my health teacher sophomore year, and my weight lifting class teacher junior/senior year. Coach V was my Mr. Feeny (the beloved teacher from "Boy Meets World"). He was an old school leader who cared about his students/players, taught life lessons, and had an endless supply of jokes and one-liners. More than twenty years later a friend and I still text each other funny 'Vertucci-isms' and laugh.
Coach V left a great mark on the community and I'm hoping that helps you get through the tough days ahead.

Beth´s family & my family both have vacation homes in Tunkhannock.
We would plan a day together every August.
These times will always hold a special place in my heart. Not only did the Vertucci´s make us feel like family, Mike would take my sister Tammy out on her own special boat ride. She would always return with a huge smile and a water lily Mike picked for her.

My name is Ginny Wilson, and I taught with Mike at MT for many years. When I heard of his diagnosis I reached out to him and we texted back and forth for a few months. I was shocked and saddened to hear he lost his courageous battle. I know Mike dearly loved his family. When he talked about all of you at school you just knew how much he deeply cared and loved all of you. I will not be able to attend his service on the 16th, but I wish I could. I would have liked to meet all of you and say one final goodbye to him.
For the record, my favorite memory of Mike as a teacher was him calling a kid a "wing nut." It was one of his favorite lines!
