45, of Johnston, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, after a long illness. Michael exemplified kindness, patience, and a gentle spirit that touched those around him.
Michael was a remarkable individual with diverse interests and talents. He had a deep passion for poker and was a very skilled player who frequently enjoyed trips to the casino. His love for horror films was well-known, and he was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Beyond his hobbies, Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and dedicated himself to working with troubled children, making a lasting impact on their lives through his compassionate approach.
Michael's commitment to helping others extended to every aspect of his life. He was known for his ability to connect with people, and his nurturing nature made him an exceptional friend and confidant. Known for his resilience and positivity, Michael brought joy to countless lives with his sense of humor and warm heart. He cherished simple pleasures, from playing sports and fishing to bowling and enjoying good food.
He leaves behind his devoted partner of 17 years, Nadine Saccoccio, and is survived by his loving mother, Diane (Corvese) Viera, and father, John Viera. Michael's grandmother, Lydia Corvese, also mourns his passing. He is remembered fondly by his uncle’s Anthony Corvese and William Corvese Sr., as well as his cousins William Corvese Jr., and his wife Arlene and their Children Gage and Jaden Corvese, and Joseph Corvese (Holly). Michael also leaves behind his dear friends Anthony and Tami Ricci and many extended family and close friends. Michael's faithful dog, Prima, will also miss his comforting presence. Predeceased by his grandfather Gilbert Corvese Sr., and his uncle Gilbert Corvese Jr.
His funeral will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Sunday from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
