Michael Scott Wallace
Quiet Dell, West Virginia
Michael Scott Wallace, born on February 10, 1991, in Quiet Dell, West Virginia, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 30, 2024, at the age of 33. Michael faced a lifelong battle with osteogenesis imperfecta with remarkable strength and resilience.
A 2009 graduate of Bridgeport High School, Michael pursued his passion for aviation by attending Pierpont Community and Technical College, where he earned his FAA Airframe and Power Plant certification in 2020. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney in Bridgeport, WV, where his skills and dedication made him an invaluable team member.
Michael loved working with his hands and had an innate ability to solve problems. Known as someone who could fix anything, he was often the go-to person for family and friends in need of help. His passions included hunting, fishing, and cooking-especially alongside his father. Within his family, Michael wore many hats: head chef, mechanic, groundskeeper, maintenance man, caretaker, and mediator.
He is survived by his parents, Rick and Anne Wallace of Quiet Dell; two brothers, Alex Wallace (wife Amanda) and Craig Wallace (wife Olivia); his beloved dog Lulu; grandmother Roberta Gallo of Rosemont; grandmother Sue Maas of Clarksburg; uncles Steve Gallo (wife Rachel), Robert Wallace (wife April), and Jim Davis; aunt Kimberly Shaw (husband Glen); as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his infant brother Matthew Stephen Wallace; grandfather Steve Gallo; and grandfather Sonny Davis.
Michael's legacy of kindness and ingenuity will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held this Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Brickside Grill in the banquet hall at 1:00 p.m., where family and friends are invited to share their favorite stories over lunch. Per Michael's wishes, he will be cremated with a private family graveside service to follow.
