Michael Carline Wilson, 65, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on December 30, 2025.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Wilma and Carline; sister, Pat; son, Josh; granddaughter, Nevaeh; and his beloved dogs, Skye and Roscoe.
Michael thought of himself as a simple man, and in many ways that was true. Yet to those who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life, he was extraordinary. He was deeply and genuinely loved by everyone who knew him. He cared fiercely about others, always wanted to do the right thing, and lived his life with honesty, kindness, and integrity. He was a devoted father whose world revolved around his children, and a loving, committed partner to his fiancée.
For over 30 years, Michael owned and operated Wilson Pro Painting, a business grounded in trust, hard work, and reliability. He was also a proud and active member of Elks Lodge #2052.
Michael embraced life enthusiastically and to the fullest. He felt most free cruising on his motorcycle and carried a passion for Harley-Davidson in his heart even when riding was no longer possible. He loved camping, antiques, karaoke, and never lost his sweet tooth or sense of humor. Celebrating holidays brought him immense joy, especially Halloween. Each year, his yard was known for its unforgettable display — towering skeletons, elaborate decorations, and a handcrafted coffin that reflected his creativity and playful spirit.
Above all else, Michael loved his family. He leaves behind his fiancée, Becky; children, Danielle, Michael, Brittney, Daniel, and Stephanie; sisters, Margaret and Janetta; many grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; and dogs, Mingo and Zabo, along with his step-dog, Brodie, all of whom were a cherished part of his life.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Louisville Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home East, 11601 Ballardsville Road, Louisville, KY 40241.
Family and friends are welcome to attend as they are. In celebration of Michael’s life, guests are invited to wear Harley-Davidson attire or white, if they wish.
Following the service, many family members and friends will gather at Elks Lodge #2052, and all are welcome.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Michael’s birthday, February 1st at Elks Lodge #2052, 904 Ormsby Lane, Louisville, KY 40242.
Michael’s presence filled every room he entered, and his absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled. He will be missed beyond words and forever live on in our hearts and memories.
