George William Keane, 88, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on December 13, 2025.
George was born on June 4, 1937, in Bradford, Pennsylvania, to the late William Leo Keane and Mildred Margaret O'Neill.
George proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a very proud veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Wilma Jean Keane; his daughter, Kristi Celebrezze (Greg); and his grandchildren, Rocky Celebrezze (Leanne), Gabrielle Celebrezze, and Olivia Celebrezze. He was blessed with two beautiful great-grandchildren, Aria Calderon and Haven Calderon.
George is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Linda Meade and Marilyn Meade, and his brothers-in-law, Junior Meade, James Meade, and Ray Meade. He is also survived by his beloved fur companion, Sophi.
George was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Francis Meade; his mother-in-law, Fannie Meade; his brother-in-law, Thomas Meade; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Meade, Anita Meade, and Frances Meade.
In his free time, George enjoyed building model cars and airplanes, working on cars, and spending time outdoors caring for his yard. He loved traveling and cherished time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hosparus of Louisville or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Visitation will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens East on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with burial immediately afterward at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
