Michael Worrell, age 61, passed away October 1, 2025, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL.
Michael was born June 30, 1964, in Fort Bragg, NC to Walter Steavie and Dorotea (Floss) Worrell.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Dorotea (Floss) Worrell and father, Walter Worrell.
He is survived by his wife, Amy (Dahm) Worrell, children; Jenna Worrell-Stewart (Ben) and Ian Michael Worrell; Grandson, Dallas James Stewart and Siblings; Carol Worrell, David (Lily) Worrell, Jerry (Sue) Worrell and Janet Worrell, and multiple nieces and nephews.
Michael was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Son and Friens; he will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure to know him.
He graduated from Ysleta High School in El Paso, TX in 1982 and attended University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), where he studied business. He worked 30 years at Grainger in various leadership positions, taking him all over the US. He was a role model of dedication, leadership and commitment which he demonstrated not only in his professional life but also in his personal life. He was a lifelong Steelers fan always swinging the Terrible Towel. He loved going on day long rides with friends on his beloved Indian Motorcycle, he was a true nature lover and enjoyed walking through the woods. He was fascinated by all things "history" and enjoyed traveling to new places to soak in the history! Above all, he loved the simple things in life, Tacos and Lagunitas; laughing with friends and family, and listening to good music.
A private Celebration of Life for Michael will be held on November 8, 2025, in Plainfield, IL
Additional details will be shared soon.
