Michael Yock

Michael Yock, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on January 21, 1960, Michael lived a life defined by service, loyalty, and an unshakeable love for family.
For 27 years, Michael served as a firefighter in Edison, dedicating himself to protecting his community with courage and selflessness. His steady presence, his reliability, and his instinct to help others made him not only a respected colleague but a true hero-both in uniform and at home.
Michael was the devoted husband of Suzann Yock for 43 wonderful years. Together they built a family rooted in love, strength, and joy. He was the loving and proud father and father-in-law to Leann Yock and her husband, Thomas Rampone, and to Kelly Duffy (Yock) and her husband, Adam Duffy. Among his greatest joys in life were his grandsons, Conor and Declan Duffy, who brought boundless light to his days. To his daughters, he always has been and always will be a hero.
Two people Michael deeply admired and looked up to throughout his life were his father-in-law, Patsy Celeste, and his mother-in-law, Patricia Celeste. Their guidance, strength, and unwavering support played a meaningful role in shaping the man he became.
A lifelong rock music aficionado, Michael had a passion for sharing the soundtrack of his youth with the next generation. He cherished taking his daughters-and often their friends-to concerts, opening their ears and hearts to the bands he adored. Music was one of his many love languages, a way he forged unforgettable memories and passed on a piece of himself.
Michael also loved traveling to Cape May, where he found peace in the ocean air and joy in returning to a place filled with family memories. He enjoyed camping as well-time spent outdoors, unplugged and surrounded by those he loved most, was something he treasured deeply.
Michael loved fiercely and protected wholeheartedly. His warmth, humor, and kindness left an imprint on every life he touched. To know him was to experience unwavering loyalty and love.
He will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit, his stories, and his legacy will continue to echo in the hearts of those who loved him.
We know he is resting peacefully-but just know, in true Mike fashion, he's watching all you m*f*ers.
