Michaela Medek (Lamb) went home to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ on September 11th, 2025 as a result of a sudden cardiac arrest. Michaela, born May 3rd, 1984 was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend to so many.
Michaela was born at Ohio State Medical Center and graduated from Olentangy High School in 2002 and spent most of her life in the greater Columbus area. Michaela met her future husband, Austen Medek, at a sand volleyball tournament in 2012 and they were married happily in a beach wedding in Key West in January of 2018.
Michaela's greatest joy was her family. She poured her heart and soul into being a loving mother to Amelia Hope (Age 16), Marshall Clark (6) and Harlee Grace (5), cherishing every moment of her crazy chaotic family life. Crazy and chaotic was just how she liked it.
Michaela walked closely with Jesus and shared it freely with anyone she came across. She was a member of Real Church and devoted her extra time to ministries, including her devotional running club, Sole Sisters. Running was more than just a hobby for her, it was a space where she centered herself with Christ. Other hobbies also involved exploring, hunting/fishing, and camping with family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Austen Medek, and her three children, Amelia, Marshall, and Harlee. She is also survived by her stepmother, Penny Lamb, sister Emily Lamb and brother-in-law Anthony Rossi, sister Erin Lamb, sister Elle Hunt and brother-in-law Joshua Hunt, brother Nathaniel Lamb, and parents-in-law Michael and Deborah Medek. She joins her father, Marc Lamb, and her mother, Deeon Phillips, in heaven.
A Memorial Service will be hosted by Real Church on September 19th, 2025 at 6:00 pm. The service will be preceded by visiting hours from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Real Church is located at 5780 Reynoldsburg Baltimore Rd NW, Pickerington, Ohio 43147. A donation link to support the family is provided below.
