Michele Chernesky Obituary
She attended Northwestern University, receiving her Bachelors Degree in Economics. She proudly played soccer with Northwestern for four years as a center-mid fielder. Michele's passion for her family and her golden retriever Rosie was unmatched. A lover of classic rock music, cooking, art, and traveling with her family to Cabo and Minocqua, WI. She will be truly missed.
Memorial visitation Wednesday, March 16th, 9AM, St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 1201 E Anderson, Palatine, until time of Memorial Mass at 10AM. Interment private. Funeral information 847-359-8020

Dear Tom, Linda, Kristi and Mathew, words can´t describe how sorry I am for your loss. I was fortunate enough to play soccer with Michele with Mundelein Soccer club and High school. Michele was an incredible and hardworking soccer player that not only myself but everyone around her looked up too. Her kind heart, spirit and laughter was contagious on and off the field. She will be deeply missed by the Mundelein Soccer Family. I pray for peace and closure during this difficult time.

It´s hard to put my feelings into words about how devastating this is. Michele was someone who made my day brighter, my heart happier, and my life infinitely better. I looked up to her as an athlete and admired her as a person. I don´t know what I did to be lucky enough to have her as a friend and teammate. Your whole family means so much to me, and has helped me become the person I am today through your generosity, love, kindness and compassion. There will forever be a place in my heart for Michele, and all of you. I´m praying that everyone who loves Michele finds peace and strength to carry on during this painful time. She has left our lives far too soon but I am so grateful for the hundreds of memories, photos and videos I have to remind me of her smile, laugh and goofy nature.

Our fond memories of precious Michele come from when I would sub for her class in jr high and through my daughter, Kendall, and Kristi being close friends in grammar and jr high schools. Our daughter would tell us about the fun she had with Michele, either the three of them together or she and Kristi against Michele! Our families were together at soccer games and related activities frequently, and I clearly recall Michele´s smiling face and epic laugh. Our solace must be that she now has the biggest, truest smile ever and is truly happy.
Our most deep and heartfelt sympathy to you Linda, Tom, dearest Kristi and Matthew. We will forever pray that God is able to help you to come to peace, as we know this tragic loss of your sweet Michele will never be understood until you are with her again.
