Michele K. Niklas

Michele K. Niklas, age 70, a longtime resident of Carol Stream, IL, formerly of Naperville, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at her home. She was born on November 6, 1952, in Aurora, IL.

Beloved daughter of the late Robert and Marie (Schwartz) Niklas, loving sister of the late Robert P. Niklas, the late Mary Ann Niklas, the late Elizabeth J. Litwitz, fond aunt of Catherine "Katie" (Dan) Arend, Tracey (Jim Kornfeind) Niklas, Christina (Geoff Hutchins) Niklas and Kelly (John) Davis, cherished great-aunt of Abby, Joey and Bentley Arend; Jessica Ryan, Tiffany and Crystal Davis; Natalie Kornfeind and Hannah Hutchins, great-great aunt of Grayson and Blakelynn Davis, sister-in-law of Marilyn Niklas and friend of many.

Michele grew up in Naperville, attended SS. Peter & Paul School and was a 1970 graduate of Benet Academy in Lisle, IL. She began her work career with The Florsheim Shoe Company in Chicago and later worked at Tyndale House Publishers in Carol Stream, IL.

Michele was a former member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Naperville. She loved baking and her specialty was her kolackies she baked every Christmas that she gave to family & friends. She also enjoyed trips to Door County, Wisconsin and spending time with family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, 9:00-10:30 AM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill Street, Naperville.

Services will begin Thursday, 10:30 AM from the funeral home and will proceed to an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville.

Future inurnment: Mausoleum of the Holy Apostles, SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville.
