Michele Stantz-Mickey

Michele Stantz-Mickey, age 60, of Michigan City, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 3, 2025.
She was born on July 26, 1965 in Michigan City, Indiana to James and Carolyn (Bogart) Stantz, who have both preceded her in death.
Michele married the love of her life, her husband, Calvin Mickey on May 27, 1989 in Michigan City, Indiana. Calvin still resides in Michigan City.
Michele is also survived by her children, Katelyn Mickey and Brooke (Taylor) Barnes; her grandchildren, Mackinley, Camila, soon-to-be grandson, Greysen, Emersyn, and Raelynn; her brother, James (Renee) Stantz, and sister, Teresa (John) Joseph. She was preceded in death by her brother, Shawn Stantz.
Michele was a long-time member of Full Gospel Church. She was a retired accountant and teacher. She loved to camp and fish, play bingo, binge-watch tv shows and have parked car conversations with her husband, and anything that involved spending time with her family. Her former hobbies included roller skating, bowling, and riding her motorcycle. Her greatest joy in life was her family, particularly her grandchildren.
If moved to do so, Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
Friends may visit with the family at Full Gospel Church, 2700 Ohio Street, Michigan City, IN 46360 on Monday, November 10, 2025 from 10:00am-12:00pm. The service will begin at 12:00pm with Pastor Paul Pickens officiating. Burial will take place at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Michigan City, IN 46360.
