Michelle R. Burd, 64, of Berwick, died Thursday, November 13, 2025 at her home.
Born April 13, 1961 in Berwick, she was the youngest daughter of the late Edward and Alma (Vandermark) Burd. She was raised in Beach Haven.
A graduate of Berwick High School, Class of 1980, she was employed at Wise Foods in Berwick for 30 years.
She was a member of the United Methodist faith and the Slavonic Club.
Michelle was a very talented crafter and sold her wares at craft shows. Always willing to help people by serving in various charitable benefits, she chaired the Wise Christmas for years, and was the first to volunteer for events.
She loved the beach and vacationed there every chance she had. Her favorite was Ocean City, MD, as well as Florida, where she vacationed most recently in September.
Michelle was a free spirit and fiercely independent. She loved her tie-dyed shirts and dragonflies, the Grateful Dead and loud music. She was a lover of dogs, having had many in her life, especially her last beagle, Daisy.
She is survived by her daughter, Makayla Garrison and her fiancé, Dylan Robertson, of Orlando, FL, and her sister, Aletha Simkonis and her husband, Victor, of Mifflinville.
A visitation will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. until the time of funeral services at 2:00 P.M. at the Mayo Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Chestnut Street, Berwick, with the Rev. George Price of the Berwick United Methodist Church officiating.
Until we meet again, peace out!
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayo Funeral Home, Inc., Berwick.
