Michelle L. Schnapp, 75, died on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Hospice of NW Ohio. She was born in London, Ontario, Canada on September 21, 1948 to Joseph and Mildred Burgess Lapierre.
Michelle worked for many years at State Aerial Farm Statics Inc., and later as a Court Stenographer for Lucas County. Even though she never had children, she had a strong motherly love for all her large dogs over the years, especially her most recent dogs, the Great Pyrenees. Michelle spent countless hours as a moderator with the Decorah Eagles nest, part of the Rapture Resource project, because of her love of Eagles. She enjoyed the game of golf, cross-stitching and painting.
Michelle was preceded in death by her husband Ron, her parents, her brothers Victor, Fred, and Robert Lapierre. She is survived by her sister - in- laws, Lynn, Carol and Orietta Lapierre; several nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews, as well as her furry companion Glacier, who will have a new home with her dear friends Terry and Kenda Lentz.
Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Wednesday, January 24 from 4:00- 7:00 p.m. and a Vigil Service at 6:45 p.m. with her close friend Deacon Trevor Fernandes presiding. The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 25 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 4605 St. Anthony Rd., Temperance, Michigan 48185. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Toledo, Ohio.
Memorial donations may be given to Indy Great Pyrenees Rescue, www.igpr.org or the Rapture Resource Project, www.raptorresource.org. Please leave a condolence message for the family at CoyleFuneralHome.com.

Michele and I first became friends shortly after she lost Ron and through the Decorah Eagles. We developed a warm friendship and she was such a comfort when my husband was sick. Just recently we had the opportunity to say our farewells to one another for which I am so grateful. God Speed dear friend and soar with the Eagles.
