Mick Zuverink Obituary

Mick was born on December 20, 1930, in Zeeland to Joe and Gardena Zuverink. Mick married his wife Esther on October 25, 1951, she preceded him in death in 2019. Esther and Mick raised their family in Zeeland and were long-time members of First Reformed Church. Mick proudly served his country in the United State Marine Corps, and he retired from Bennett Wood Specialties.
Mick was also preceded in death by his brother Glenn "Lit" Zuverink and his sister Sandy Bos.
He is survived by his children: Scott and Kim Zuverink of Zeeland, Mike and Linda Zuverink of Drenthe, Nancy and Colin McCleery of Zeeland, Joe and Lori Zuverink of Zeeland; 14 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, sister Carol and Norm Umpstead; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Melvin and Judee Vanden Heuvel and June Vanden Heuvel, and many extended family.
Visitation will be 4-7 pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, and from 12:45-1:45 pm Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in Zeeland Cemetery. Memorials contributions may be given to Corewell Health Hospice and Palliative Care. www.yntemafh.com
