Mickey “Delane” Etheridge, Jr., 53, of Phenix City, AL passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 21, 2024, in Tallapoosa County, AL
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am EST Wednesday morning, August 28, 2024, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City with Pastor Jammie Holloway officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EST at the funeral home in Phenix City.
Delane was born December 2, 1970, in Phenix City, AL, he was the son of Mickey Delane Etheridge, Sr. and the late Willie Lillian “Ninnie” Childree Etheridge. He was a family man, always placing family needs and joys first. He enjoyed riding horses and supporting his daughter Shelby in many of the local and state rodeo events along with supporting his daughter Shayna in the Coast Guard and son Justin in the Army. Delane always loved family gatherings and sharing special times. He was a Christian and attended Calvary Tabernacle Church in Smiths Station.
He is survived by his father, Mickey Delane Etheridge, Sr. and wife Sandra of Bostic, NC; his loving and devoted wife Patrina “Trina” Wright Etheridge of Phenix City, AL; children, Shelby Etheridge of Phenix City, AL, Shayna Etheridge and wife Colleen of Frederick, MD, and Justin Etheridge and wife Megan of Tacoma, WA; two sisters, Jennifer Ward and husband Gary of Samson, AL, and Daisy Laws of Cliffside, NC; two brothers, Tony Laws and wife Lacey of Belmont, NC, and Joshua Waters and wife Hailey of Belmont, NC; one precious grandchild, Annaleise Etheridge; several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, church family, and many caring friends.
