Obituary of Miguel Angel Cordero
Miguel A. Cordero, age 87 of Camden, passed away on December 31, 2023 at Barclay Health and Rehab Center in Cherry Hill. He was born in Isabela, Puerto Rico on November 18, 1936 to the late Francisco Cordero and Benita Altreche.
Miguel was a US Marine Corps Veteran, serving during the Korean War. He enjoyed playing and umpiring baseball, reading Spanish novels and lottery scratchoff tickets. He was also a fan of the New York Mets and loved to root against the New York Yankees.
Beloved husband of Carmen (nee Travieso); devoted father of Dorothy Roberts (Stan), Randy Cordero, Sandy Cordero, Michael Santana, Jacqueline Santana (Jose Lebron), Jeanette Cortes (Eddie), Brenda Quinones (Alex) and the late George Martinez and Yvette Martinez; loving grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 28.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 9 to 11 AM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Camden Funeral Home, 3425 River Avenue, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken.
