Mike K. Behnke, age 63 of Fond du Lac, passed away at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born on November 29, 1961, in Fond du Lac. He was the son of Doug and Carol (Bechler) Behnke. On July 12, 2003, he married Helen Hendricks at The Gardens in Neno, WI. He was employed at Baker Cheese (Sargento) in St. Cloud, WI for over 35 years. Mike enjoyed the many trips to the tropics that Helen and he took. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with children and grandchildren. Hanging with family, friends and neighbors for a few cocktails and a couple of jokes. He was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Campbellsport, WI, and The Eagles Club of Fond du Lac Aerie #270.
He is survived by his wife Helen; children Melissa (Jeff) Unti, Kevin (Steph) Behnke, Sarah (Jason) Voss, Samantha (Pat) Robb, Shaun (Ashley) DeSmidt, Steven DeSmidt; 9 grandchildren, Cody, Courtney, Gavin, Olivia, Alex, Layla, Maddie, Cecelia and Patrick; step Mom Grace Behnke, step-brothers Bob Miller, Dan (Gieselle) Miller and Gary (Nadine) Miller. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Cheryl Rasmussen, in-laws, brother-in-law Bernie Hendricks and Wayne DeSmidt.
Our family would like to thank the Aurora Home Hospice and the Staff at Aurora St. Luke's in Milwaukee.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church (350 S. Helena St, Campbellsport) on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 4 pm. Visitation will be held from 1 pm until the time of service. Friends and family are invited to The Eagles Club of Fond du Lac Aerie #270 after the service to continue sharing memories.
