James A. Wilhelms, 72, of the Town of Forest passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. He was born in Fond du Lac on January 13, 1953, the son of William H. and Delores M (nee Kramer) Wilhelms.
After high school, Jim served in the U.S. Air Force from September 1971 until August 1975. He worked in the construction industry mostly self-employed. He was a former member of the Fond du Lac and North Fond du Lac American Legion Posts and presently a member of the Plymouth American Legion Post. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle. Most of all, Jim loved helping as many people as possible.
Survivors include his son Anthony (Janessa Devereux) Wilhelms and stepson Dustin Hodoff, granddaughter Korynne (Zach) Moran and step grandson Drake Hodoff, great grandsons Jack Burns and Walter Moran, special friend Mary Eisele, nephews and nieces Nathan, Brian, Ann, and Laura Wilhelms, other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers John and Thomas.
Following Jim’s wishes, private family services will be held.
