Mike Corbett

CORBETT, Michael Ernest, 72, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024.
He was a retired sheet metal mechanic for Project Heating and Cooling and a proud DeSales HS graduate, class of 1971.
Mike was born and raised in Louisville and spent all of his life there. In his early days, he enjoyed fixing up old cars, crowned by an entry into the Carl Casper Auto Show. As a dad, he spent countless hours at ball fields and gyms, and was the proud coach of the 1994 OLMC baseball team.
Mike as a grandpa, enjoyed taking his grandsons bowling and fishing, and especially looked forward to his weekly dinners with them. In his free time, he enjoyed getting able to see and spend time with his friends and family, and the "occasional" trip to the casino. He was a kind soul who'll be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Corbett; sisters, Faye Rush, Carolyn Corbett and Virginia Baublitz.
He is survived by his loving son, Matt Corbett (Jennifer); grandchildren, Mason, "Big" Logan and "Little" Logan; brother, Charlie Corbett (Donna); and sister, Pat Thurman.
His celebration of life service will be held Friday, 7 p.m., at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr. with cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 2 – 7 p.m. at Rattermans.
