Mike R. McRory, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 11th, 2025.

Born on April 8, 1941 in Seattle, Washington, to Mina M. Cline and Clearence F. McRory, he attended the University of Washington for both his undergraduate studies and dental school, beginning a career that would span more than three decades and touch countless lives.

After completing his education, Mike served his country as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy. Stationed in San Diego, California from 1966 to 1968, he served aboard the USS Enterprise during the Vietnam War from May 1967 to June 1968.

Following his military service, Mike returned to Washington and established a successful dental practice. A proud member of the American Dental Association from 1966 until 1999, he earned the trust and gratitude of generations of patients with his skill, compassion, and unwavering professionalism.

Beyond his work in dentistry, Mike was a driving force in local environmental conservation. As a co-founder of the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association (NSEA), he played a vital role in protecting and restoring salmon habitat throughout the region. His contributions to community and conservation were recognized in 2023 when he received the Bellingham Regional Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award.

Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elaine, as well as his mother, Mina, and father, Clearence. He is survived by his son, Eric McRory, and Eric's wife, Erin.
