Mike Morley

Mike Morley, age 67, passed away on May 4, 2025. Born in Louisville on March 15, 1958, he was the son of Delphin and Gloria Morley.
He attended St. Raphael Catholic School and graduated from Trinity High School, Class of 1977.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Courtney Morley (Elliot Cornett), and his five siblings, William, Carlos, Kevin, Luci, and Tim.
Growing up, there was never a dull moment in Mike's neighborhood-especially when it came to speed. He and the other kids hood-surfed, raced anything with a motor, and did their fair share of running from the police.
Mike was a contractor-maybe the best-dressed one around-easily recognized by his starched button-down shirts. He also worked in automotive sales and loved cars. He took pride in driving and showing off his Toyota FJ.
Mike was a talented artist with a sharp eye for design. He was also a pilot who enjoyed recounting his flying adventures in Arizona. Most recently, he took on the role of squirrel whisperer, much to the amusement of those around him.
There was never a father prouder of his daughter. Mike radiated joy after spending time with Courtney-whether over a leisurely brunch, working on remodeling projects, fixing cars, visiting art fairs, or traveling out west. He often spoke of her latest accomplishments and passions, and he was deeply impressed with the life she and Elliot built together.
Mike was a loyal, trustworthy friend-you knew he had your back. He listened well and offered thoughtful opinions and advice. He was always up for a good time and never missed a chance to share a funny story. And when it came to martinis, he liked them up, dry, stirred-not shaken.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Friday, May 9th, and will conclude with a sharing of stories and memories at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road.
