Michael Pruitt Mouchet of Hartwell, GA, born on September 18, 1948 to the late Sara Pruitt Mouchet and Theodore Sylvester Mouchet, passed away in the comfort of his home on December 2, 2022.
He was a graduate of Gordon Military Academy where he excelled at sports and shenanigans. Upon graduation he went into the US Army and served in the Vietnam War. His personal war began upon his return home as he struggled with the lasting effects veterans experience during times of war. He is proceeded in death by his siblings Melinda Mouchet Brannon and Paul Mouchet and the men and women of all armed services.
Survivors include his three daughters: Ginny Richardson, Cher Hart and Julie Mouchet; son in law: Ron Richardson; grandchildren: Camron Cobb, Nylah LaVigna, Grace Richardson, Carlota LaVigna, Logan Richardson, Georgia LaVigna and great grandchild Zelda Mae Cobb; sister: Sylvia Mouchet; friend and cousin Donny Mouchet and oldest best friend John Brooksher and his nieces and nephews.
In honor of his life, please treat the next veteran you meet with kindness and patience, and lend them your time & ear.
Mike wished to be cremated and there will be a visitation and a time of remembrance from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.
