Mike Pilotte passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, at age 71. Born April 13, 1954, in Lafayette, IN, he grew up in Fowler, IN, as the third of six children. Mike married Janet McKenney in 1985, and they had two daughters, Jennifer and Cassandra. A devoted husband, he worked diligently to provide for his family, showing his love through action.
A man of deep faith, Mike found fulfillment in studying and discussing the Bible, his life reflecting the fruits of the Spirit-kindness, peace, and faithfulness. He was generous, loved to laugh, and ran a respected painting business, known for quality work. He instilled his strong work ethic in Jenni and Cassie.
Mike enjoyed fishing, teaching his daughters to fish, gardening, music, motorcycling, watching Star Wars, cooking shows, making bread, and fellowship with believers. He is survived by his wife Janet, daughters Jenni (Jacob Holtz, fiancé) and Cassie (Daniel Davila). Mike's brothers and sister; Steve Pilotte, Pete (Carmen) Pilotte, and Jackie (Mike) Kurlich. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glendon J. and Ruth Ann Pilotte, sister Linda Haynes, and brother Jeffrey Stineburg. Mike cherished his family and friends and now awaits the return of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
A Celebration of Life will be held @ 1:00PM Saturday, May 17, 2025 in Williams Memorial Chapel. Viewing/visitation will be one hour prior. Interment will immediately follow the service at the adjacent Garland Memorial Park.
