Mike A. Prebeck

Mike Prebeck of Columbus passed away from his earthly life on October 10, 2023. He was 73 years old.
He was survived by his wife, Jeanne, his children, Jeff (Brianna) Prebeck, Jill (Paul) Weaver, Jane (Kevin) Hurst, his stepdaughters, Brandi (Frankie) Poole, and Tonya Kroger, as well as his beloved Boston Terriers Zoey and Lucy. He has nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Jean Prebeck, and his sister, Mary Hunt.
Even though Mike spent most of his career in manufacturing, he was a gifted artist, earning a bachelor's degree in fine art, and later, a master's degree in management. Mike was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, as well as a member of the Tin Can Sailors Association, American Legion, and Sons of the Union veterans of the Civil War.
Mike was an avid Civil War artifact collector, who enjoyed traveling with his wife and driving his jeep. He was known for his hard work ethic and his sharp sense of humor.
He was a beloved husband, father, and grandpa. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Per Mike's wishes, he will be cremated. A private memorial service amongst family members will be held at a later date.
