Mike Willman Obituary

Mike was a 1967 graduate of North Posey High School. He worked for Shakespeare Oil Co. as an oil field pumper. Mike was a member of the American Legion Post #5. He enjoyed growing a large garden, hunting, fishing and trapping. Mike especially loved spending time with his grandkids.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; grandson, Cody David Willman; his niece and goddaughter, Katie Rose Schmitt.
He is survived by his sons, Bill Willman (Shannon) and Michael "Mike" Willman (Michele); his best friend and companion, Kathleen Gilkey; grandchildren, Logan Willman (Haylee Hensley), Baylee Sailer (Austin), Nathan Willman (Laura Cumbee) and Wyatt Willman; a great-grandson, Weston Sailer; brother, Bill Willman (Glenda); sister, Mary Schmitt (Dave); nieces and nephews, Robert Schmitt, Braden Willman and Brittany Groess; and cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main St., Mt. Vernon, IN with Pastor Bryan Thompson officiating and burial to follow in St. John's Cemetery – Bufkin.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to NEWLIFE Rescue and Adoption, 6500 Leonard Rd. N., Mt. Vernon, IN 47620.
