Mike Yancy Obituary

Mike worked at the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon for the past 38 years and participated in the Posey Special Olympics.
He is survived by his sister, Crystal Collins (Geoff); nieces and nephew, Alex Boettcher (Jon), Damon Collins (Emily) and Demi Summers (Andrew); 4 great-nieces and nephews; his mother's companion, Wayne Gross; and aunts and cousins.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Schneider Funeral Home, 512 Main St., Mt. Vernon, IN with Pastor Don Tron officiating and burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in New Harmony.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
The family would like to give special thanks to the support staff at Apex Behavioral, Easterseals of Posey County and Jacobs Village. Also, thank you to his is caregivers, Claire and Olean and especially, Lori Hale who has cared for him for many years.
