Milagros (Jones) Luna, known to some as Millie Jones or Millie Luna, was born on September 30, 1957, passed away suddenly on June 27, 2025, due to complications from outpatient surgery. She leaves behind her husband, Hector E. Luna, son Christopher D. Luna, and daughter Cirissa M.E. Luna.
Milagros lived a life filled with challenges and triumphs, starting from a young age when she had to navigate difficult circumstances. Raised by a mother who hustled to provide a comfortable life, Milagros learned independence and self-reliance early on. Despite facing obstacles, she persevered and learned to be calm and collected in stressful situations, earning her the title of a warrior and matriarch.
Throughout her life, Milagros wore many hats, from a devoted wife and mother to a dedicated caregiver for her family members. She worked in various roles, from medical office management to education, always striving to make a positive impact on those around her. Her strength and determination were evident in everything she did, whether it was supporting women's health or challenging students to think beyond their experiences.
Milagros was known for her unwavering belief in doing the right thing, even in the face of adversity. She was never one to shy away from confrontation and always stood up for what she believed in. Her sharp wit and no-nonsense attitude endeared her to those who knew her, and her words of wisdom and guidance will be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.
In her final years, Milagros dedicated herself to caring for her loved ones, showing grace and resilience in the face of adversity. Her legacy of compassion, strength, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
