Mildred M. Abrams, a loving and faith-filled woman who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched. Born on April 25, 1930, in Camden, New Jersey, Mildred's journey through life was one of devotion, thoughtfulness, and unwavering independence. She passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, in Colora, Maryland, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Mildred spent almost her entire life in Blackwood, New Jersey, where she was a respected and long-time employee of the Bank of New Jersey, serving both the Blackwood and Pine Hill Offices with dedication and grace. Her work ethic and commitment to her community were evident to all who knew her, and she was a beloved figure among her colleagues and customers alike.

A devout Christian, Mildred was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Blackwood. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and providing comfort and strength throughout her years.

Family was the center of Mildred's world. She was the beloved matriarch who cherished every moment with her loved ones. Although predeceased by her husband, Maynard T. Abrams, and her son, William McLeester, her memory lives on through her daughter, Deborah Cheek (Mike). Mildred's spirit will continue to guide her sister, Ruth Sturgis, her granddaughters, Melissa, Michelle, Pamela, and Victoria, and her great-grandchildren, Owen, Max, Aubrey, and Benny. She also leaves behind three nieces, one nephew, and the fond memories shared with her late devoted companion, Ed Eissing.

Mildred's zest for life was evident in her passion for travel in her younger years and her love for crossword puzzles. She was fiercely independent, managing her affairs with a sharp mind and a strong will, a trait that she maintained until two months prior to her passing.

Those who knew Mildred will remember her as a thoughtful and loving individual. Her presence was a comfort, her advice was sought after, and her love was unconditional. She had a way of making each person feel valued and important, a quality that endeared her to many.

Viewing will be Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Blackwood, 21 E. Church St., Blackwood, NJ 08012. Mildred's service will begin at 11:00 AM and interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Washington Twp, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First Presbyterian Church of Blackwood in her memory. Condolences may be shared at www.earlefuneralhome.com
