Mildred Louise Bentley, 93, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, in Newnan, Georgia. Born on February 2, 1932, in Morgan County, Alabama. She lived a long and full life marked by deep family bonds and a spirited love for her favorite team-Alabama football. Louise was born Mildred Louise Chaney and grew up in the heart of Alabama. Her roots remained close to her heart throughout her life, especially evident in her unwavering devotion to the Crimson Tide. Saturdays in the fall were sacred to her, as she cheered on her team with unmatched enthusiasm. Her laughter-distinctive and unforgettable-often echoed through the room during family gatherings. Family was at the center of everything Louise held dear. She found immense joy in being surrounded by loved ones and cherished every moment spent with them. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Kim Cannaday ( Mike) and Kelly Jones ( Steve); her son Chuck Bentley (Nicole); her sisters Evelyn Fancher and Shirly Townley; five grandchildren Brian Burrows, Kristen Bentley, Lauren Kinney, Natalie Calderon Barrientos, Charlie Cannaday; 11 great grandchildren. Each of them carries forward memories of her warmth, humor, and enduring spirit. Loise was preceded in death by her beloved husband Charles Bentley Sr., affectionately known as Sonny. Her legacy lives on through the generations she helped shape-with stories told over shared meals, laughter that lingers in memory, and the echo of "Roll Tide" that will forever remind those who knew her of the joy she brought into their lives. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her. McKoon Funeral Home & Crematory (770) 253-4580
