Mildred F. Johnson, of Newton, NH, formerly a longtime resident of Lexington, MA, died peacefully on September 26, 2025 at the age of 100 years old.

Beloved wife of the late Walter Johnson. Loving mother of Linda Colby and her husband David of Newton, NH, Amy Sbordone and her husband Alexander of Newton, MA, Louise Greene and her husband Bruce of Newton, NH, Peter Johnson and his wife Linda of South Hampton, NH, James Johnson and his wife Phyllis of Rockland, MA, Walter Johnson and his wife Brenda of Raymond, NH and the late Christopher Johnson. Devoted sister of the late Katherine Corbett of Lexington, MA and Susan Sarno of Norwood, MA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mildred was born in the family home on Bedford Street, Lexington in 1925, the very place that meant the world to her. She later moved to Boston and graduated from the Roxbury Memorial High School. She married at the age of 17, traveled with her husband to Georgia, where he was stationed during World War II. In 1955 she returned to her homestead in Lexington where she raised her family. Her love for Lexington, her town was the very place she wanted to be.

Calling hours will be at Douglass Funeral Home, 51 Worthen Road, Lexington on Friday, October 3rd from 4 to 7pm

On Saturday, October 4th, visitation will be at Douglass Funeral Home, at 9am, with a procession from the funeral home to St. Brigid Church around 10am. The Mass at St. Brigid Church is at 10:30am.

Interment to follow at Westview Cemetery, Lexington. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
