Schenectady – Mildred A. "Millie" (DeCarlo) Klein, 93, residing in Kingsway Arms Nursing Center, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, January 28, 2025.
Millie was born in Schenectady on March 26, 1931, the daughter of the late Dominick and Irene (Frigugliett) DeCarlo. She attended Mont Pleasant High School. Millie worked as a Medical Records Clerk at St. Clare's Hospital; was also employed at the Albany Public Market and Grand Union in Rotterdam.
She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Frank A. Klein who passed away on June 24, 2005; her brothers Dominick Jr., Richard, Robert, and George DeCarlo; as well as her husband Frank's brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her loving daughter Karen Klein of Schenectady; two brothers: Joseph DeCarlo of Schenectady; and John (Rae) DeCarlo of Glenville; her sister MaryAnn (Ralph) Pisano of Mechanicville; and several nieces and nephews.
Millie was a devoted Catholic at St. Gabriel's Church in Rotterdam. She was a lifetime member of the Rotterdam Seniors and the Young at Hearts.
Family and Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Church, 3040 Hamburg Street, Rotterdam, NY 12303. Following, a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Church.
Interment will be at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna, following the Mass at St. Gabriel's Church.
Millie enjoyed the entertainment, listening to oldies music, making crafts, watching movies, and other activities with her friends at Kingsway. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to everyone at Kingsway Nursing Center, especially to the D Wing staff, who personally cared for Millie.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Millie's memory to: St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, 3040 Hamburg Street, Schenectady, NY 12303.
