Mildred Ruth Baldwin Voss, 81, retired office manager for Medical Management and longtime resident of Columbia, died Thursday, February 22, 2024 at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Andrew Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Monday from 1:00 PM until time of the services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Columbia Academy or the Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
She was a native of Louisville, Kentucky, born on February 13, 1943 to the late Leroy Baldwin and the late Doy Elizabeth Hayes Baldwin. Mildred married Gene “Buddy” Voss on April 11, 1970. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling and never met a stranger. Her greatest joy was taking care of her grandbabies and great grandbabies. She was a member of Graymere church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Buddy Voss of Columbia; daughter, Jackie Hargrove (Edward) of Columbia; son, Jason Voss (Emily) of Columbia; three grandsons, Chris Hargrove, Dustin Hargrove (Nikki), and Jared Voss; two granddaughters, Jessica Jones (Bailey), and Emma Voss; a sister, Bettie Wesley; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two stillborn infants, Tammy and Scotty.
Pallbearers will be Chris Hargrove, Dustin Hargrove, Jared Voss, Bailey Jones, Edward Hargrove, and Jason Voss.
