Mildred White

Mildred Hallman White, age 88 of Morganfield, KY passed away Wednesday, Aug 13, 2025 at Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. Mildred was born on March 6, 1937 in Carrollton, MS to Ed and Annie Cooke Hallman. She was a private duty nurse, tax preparer, and worked at Baldwin Piano Factory, security officer, and resident advisor at Earle C. Clements Job Corps. She sewed prom dresses and wedding dresses and later opened her business, Javon's Bridal Shop. Mildred was a member of Carr's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Mother's Board, was a member of the choir, and head of the Culinary Committee. Her favorite TV show was Swamp People, a show about hunting gators in Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Rev. Joseph White who raised a loving family of 7 children; sons Leon Hallman and Robert James; three sisters and one brother.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, KY. Rev. Tony Anguish will officiate.
Visitation will be 10 AM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Morganfield, KY.
