Mr. Millard “Glenn” Walker Sr., 93, passed away on Sunday February 16, 2025, at his home in King. He was born on January 6, 1932, in Forsyth County to the late Robah and Clara Walker. Glenn worked as a butcher for several grocery stores and restaurants for many years. He enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, and woodworking. Glenn was a member of Mizpah Moravian Church and played in the Moravian band for over 50 years. In his later years, he enjoyed doing word searches and puzzles. Glenn was a jovial man who loved to laugh and always had a smile on his face. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Lucille Grubbs Walker, one son, Millard Glenn Walker Jr., four brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by two grandsons; Travis Walker (Tammy), and Todd Walker (Cathy), and four great-grandchildren; Ty, Abby (Jan), Eli, and Hannah Walker. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Senior Quality Care of Pilot Mountain and Trellis Supportive Care for their care of Glenn. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday February 21, 2025, at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with Rev. David Merritt officiating.
