Millika Rajeswaran

It is with profound sadness that we announce the Sivaloka Prapthi of Mrs. Mallika Rajeswaran, who passed away on July 15, 2025, in Cary, NC. She was born on April 22, 1944, to Shri Sundararaja Iyer and Shrimati Padmavati Narayanaswamy Iyer.
Mallika was the beloved wife of Shri G. Rajeswaran, the adored mother of Nandita, a cherished grandmother of Nisha and Rohan, and a loving sister to all her siblings.
Mallika enjoyed a fulfilling career at the Reserve Bank of India, where she was posted in many exciting and sometimes dangerous corners of India, including Guwahati. Her indomitable spirit and vast knowledge on many topics endeared her to family and friends of all ages. They could always count on her guiding hand and her steady voice of reason. She possessed both immense knowledge and faith in Hindu scriptures. After her retirement as a banker, she spent an entire year and countless hours creating Tanjore art, only to lovingly gift them to people she cared for. As a lifelong music enthusiast, she rarely missed an opportunity to discuss the nuances and beauty of Carnatic and Hindustani music ragas.
She will be remembered for her boundless affection and open-hearted nature. She had an extraordinary gift for making people feel welcome through her warm smile and comforting presence. We will all miss her dearly.
The funeral service will be held at Wake Cremation Services on Monday, July 21, 2025 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
