Nancy Anne (Krueger) Stodgell, 78, of Apex, NC, died peacefully at Transitions Lifecare Hospice after a long illness with her loving daughter by her side on July 4, 2025.
She was born in Schenectady, NY in 1946 to the late Bill and Doris (Needham) Krueger. She is survived by her sister Diane (Jim) Spencer, son, Robert W. Stodgell, daughter, Karen (Dale Wingler) Brown, their father, Robert F. Stodgell, granddaughter, Riley Brown, and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was a graduate of Scotia Glenville High School and Albany Business College. She was employed by Stewart's for several years in both the shop and district office before taking a position at Capital Cardiology. Nancy then moved to NC in 2006 where she worked at Carolina Cardiology. She always had an amazing work ethic but also enjoyed socializing and developed many lasting friendships with her coworkers and customers.
Nancy's fondest memories included summers at Sacandaga Lake with her family and the time she spent with her granddaughter at Bond Park. Nancy will be remembered for her kind heart, devotion to her children and grandchild, and her sense of humor even in the toughest of times.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center of Cary, WakeMed Cary Hospital, and Transitions Hospice Care for their care and compassion during her illness.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, Nancy's family asks that remembrances be made to Transitions Hospice Care 250 Hospice Circle Raleigh, NC 27607, in loving memory of Nancy Stodgell.
