Milton Caldwell, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, peacefully passed away on December 15, 2024, at the age of 77 in Bledsoe, Kentucky. Born on April 4, 1947, in Leslie County, KY, Milton lived a life full of love, faith, and adventure.
In May 1968, Milton married his devoted wife, Delora. Together, they cherished 57 years of marriage, filled with the joys of family, faith, and shared memories. Milton’s belief in the Pentecostal Faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him in all of his endeavors and relationships.
Milton had a spirited passion for the great outdoors, particularly enjoyed rabbit hunting and coon hunting. These adventures allowed him to connect with nature and provide cherished memories with family and friends. For many years, he dedicated his time as a school bus driver, ensuring the safe passage of countless children, a testament to his caring and nurturing spirit.
Milton is survived by his loving wife, Delora Caldwell; sons, Robert Duncan Caldwell, Brian Milton Caldwell, and Jonathan Daniel Caldwell and wife, Opal; sister, Mona Lisa Brock and husband, Charlie; and sisters-in-law, Eulane Caldwell, Hazel Orzual, and Nancy Fiebrandt. He took great pride in his family, relishing the moments spent with his eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and he leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will remember him fondly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Caldwell; mother, Ellen Simpson Caldwell; brothers, Jerry and Julis; and sisters Janice, June, Gail, and Teresa. Though he will be deeply missed, Milton's legacy of love, faith, and the joy he found in life will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 2PM to 5PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home.
