Minnie Elizabeth Kinney, daughter of Russell Amos Reeder and Lessie Phillips Reeder of Troy, who preceded her in death, passed away on November 14, 2025.
Minnie was an avid reader, especially of John Grisham novels. She loved to shop, even going so far as to travel to shop. She loved traveling with Holiday Tours to shop and went as far away as New York to do so. She will be remembered for her courage in the face of her cancer, her love for her family, and especially her generous spirit.
She is preceded in death by Grace L Reeder (oldest sister), Sarah Louise Vanhoy (sister) and 7 brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Kinney of the home; niece Penny Cranford of Troy; great nephew Timmy Cranford (Hillary) of Mt Gilead; great, great nephews Jaxon and Tucker; great, great nieces Samantha & Sarah Cranford of Troy. She is also survived by great niece Tanya Morris of Asheboro; great, great niece Laney Morris of Greensboro; great, great nephew Aiden Morris of Asheboro; sister-in-law Peggy Frye (widow); nephew Jerry Frye of Asheboro; sister-in-law Brenda Bunting (Jerry) of Asheboro; sister-in-law Carol Greeson (Jimmy); sister-in-law Doris Eaton (Larry) of Randleman; and brother-in-law John Kinney (Janice) of Randleman.
A visitation for Mrs. Kinney will be held at Pugh Funeral Home of Randleman, 600 S Main St, Randleman, NC 27317, from 4-6PM Tuesday, November 18, 2025. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 11AM at Randolph Memorial Park, 4538 US Highway 220 Bus N, Asheboro, NC 27203 with Pastor John Gunter officiating.
